Just hearing that I got an interview stresses me out, the employers can find out anything about you if they want especially now that most jobs have background checks available. Sitting in a room with your potential bosses can defiantly make you sweat a little. Two main keys to remember when in an interview is that balance between talking too much and talking to little according to Forbes. That nice balance between the two is to be confident and comfortable but don't force out words if you don't need too. The best thing you can have that I've noticed is having people skills and being able to network can go a long way in life.
LinkedIn is a powerful tool that allows you to create a professional social media page that is essentially the digital footprint that employers can research about you. Having your LinkedIn profile link in your resume can go a long way. I was taught in a job interview class that no matter what you always want to show confidence and handshake all the interviewers and introduce yourself, in a digital world sometimes people forget something little like that, essentially that falls back into people skills.
In my other blogs, I have talked about how social media can do more harm than good, you need to make sure that you take a thorough look at all social media profiles and do some cleanup. Always delete, granted anything you post it manages to still go to a file somewhere and can be dug-up so I would make sure to be mindful of what you post.
When it comes down to it you can practice all you want but no matter what you will be in a high-stress situation and if you aren't good in those situations the interview process will be hard, but sometimes employers will understand how nervous you will be and give you a break on it.
