In this week's blogs were focusing our attention on Twitter. Twitter is a program that allows you to type your thoughts or share information based on the most recent occurrences. Twitter is great because you are able to find out any information you can, you also can develop your personal brand. The great thing about twitter is you choose your following base, so, for example, the presidential election was a twitter war, based on your political beliefs you can choose who you want to keep up to date with.




Hashtags are a thing for Twitter that allows you to find that same hashtag posted by someone else and able to see exactly their point of view on the hashtag. Twitter is being used as an educational purpose for young children, without the hashtag I don't think twitter would have the same purpose that it has currently, we see that people will post hashtags on their Instagram post also to have the similar way of searching on twitter but for their pictures.





The world is connected by social media in 2019, we rely on social media more than people in the 50s relied on the newscast via radio or newspapers. Social media is everywhere and we can't hide from it, Twitter has millions of subscribers, the best part is it is free so no longer spending money on the newspaper, or having to go to the store to find the paper, its all on your smart device.

Retweeting is popular for Twitter, not only can you like the tweet from someone but you are able to retweet if so that your followers can see exactly what the person that you retweeted said, and it shows the person who initially tweeted, so that means more networking for everyone you might get another follower and the retweeted person will also grow their platform.







In the reading lol...OMG! the author always talks about cyberbullying and how what you say on the internet will follow you the rest of your life and can hinder you from getting potential jobs in your future. In chapter 6 the author makes note that having emotional times and your cell phone can play a crucial role in your social media since a majority of the population likes to party, once you mix alcohol with your phone the universe is endless. be mindful of having emotional breakdowns and facing to social media to share them because they will show up exactly when you don't want them to (ex. job interviews when you post a picture on your Instagram of your significant other that should never leave the photo library.) Social media is great and it is the future of our world just always have your head screwed on before you think about posting something.
