Augmented reality or "AR" is the new technology that is coming to light after we see ideas about it in the first Iron Man movies. Virtual reality started to take off for a little bit, but we started to notice that the technology itself is expensive, more of a cost issue for the average person to purchase the proper equipment to run the software properly. Coming from a Military background I know what we were using as training equipment then, now to see that there is an interest in using current technology such as AR for new methods of training. The types of medical training that are being used with AR on mobile apps are helping students that are up and coming into the medical field. An interesting article that I found relating to this, would be for VR to help people understand what autism is like and this technology will make your understanding so different it will almost be reality, VR may also help find new medicine.over the summer I was in the hospital for a food allergy and after 3 hours I remained more bored than ever before, another article I found was that Google Cardboard was used in a hospital to help children keep their minds off of the dreaded hospital especially as a young child they're attention spans are a tad smaller than an adult and also some may not have smart phones to occupy themselves with.

AR is here to stay and personally I think its only going to make our world and way of life easier and more convenient for the everyday user. Online shopping is a multi-billion dollar industry and how does that relate with AR. An airport is prototyping smart glasses that help the airport staff scan cargo and immediately get all the specs of the freight for planes, if this was to be adopted by USPS or UPS it would help more than it could harm.Social media is an everyday use for more than 3/4 of the worlds population, in the book Light, Bright and Polite for Parents/Teens the author talks about in Chapter 5 about how you can use your social media to help impress colleges at a younger age. The book has always made it clear how negatively social media can be on your job search, but now the author is telling the audience that it can help out as much as be hurtful. Over the course of the semester I have been learning the power of LinkedIn, LinkedIn is a professional social media platform that allows the user to connect with companies and interact for potential networking. The author goes into all the social media platforms that are offered to the public, Instagram and Twitter can be used professionally same with facebook, but not as much as LinkedIn, I think that you are able to take a platform like LinkedIn and built for social presence in a good way.
